In God I Trust, I Shall Not Be Afraid

1Be gracious to me, O God, for man has #56:1 Or snapped attrampled upon me;
All day long, an attacker oppresses me.
2My foes have #56:2 Or snapped attrampled upon me all day long,
For many attack me proudly.

4In God, whose word I praise,
In God I trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere #56:4 Lit fleshman do to me?
5All day long they #56:5 Or trouble my affairsdistort my words;
All their #56:5 Or purposesthoughts are against me for evil.
6They #56:6 Or stir up strifeattack, they lurk,
They watch my heels,
As they have hoped to take my #56:6 Lit soullife.
7On account of their wickedness, will they have an escape?
In anger, bring down the peoples, O God!
8¶You have taken account of my wanderings;
Put my tears in Your bottle.
Are they not in Your book?
9Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call;
This I know, #56:9 Or becausethat God is for me.
10In God, whose word I praise,
In Yahweh, whose word I praise,
11In God I #56:11 Or trust without feartrust, I shall not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
12Your vows are binding upon me, O God;
I will #56:12 Lit payfulfill thank offerings to You.

Indeed my feet from stumbling,
So that I may walk before God
