As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.


“Those who surround me raise their heads; May the mischief of their own lips come upon them.


Those who are fencing me in raise their heads; may the mischief of their own lips and the very things they desire for me come upon them.


Protect me from the snare that they have set up for me and from the scandals of those who work iniquity.


When those who surround me rise up, may the trouble their lips cause overwhelm them.


Let the heads of the people surrounding me be covered with the trouble their own lips caused!


ADONAI, don’t grant the wicked their wishes; make their plot fail, so they won’t grow proud. (Selah)
