And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father; for this is the first-born; put thy right hand upon his head.
Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn; place your right hand on Manasseh’s head.”

And he said to his father: "It should not have come to pass this way, father. For this one is the firstborn. Place your right hand over his head."

When Joseph saw that his father had placed his right hand on Ephraim’s head, he thought he had made a mistake, so he took hold of his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s, saying
