Isaiah, 17:4

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

“Now in that day the [former] glory of Jacob [Israel—his might, his population, his prosperity] will fade, And the fatness of his flesh will become lean.

And in that day the former glory of Jacob [Israel–his might, his population, his prosperity] shall be enfeebled, and the fat of his flesh shall become lean.

And this shall be in that day: the glory of Jacob will be thinned, and the fatness of his flesh will be reduced.

On that day the splendor of Jacob will fade, and his healthy body will become emaciated.

On that day, Jacob’s glory will dwindle; his sleek body will waste away.

“When that day comes, Ya‘akov’s glory will wane, and his full body grow thin

When that time comes, the glorious nation of Israel will be brought down; its prosperous people will be skin and bones.

And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall become lean.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin and the fatness of his flesh shall grow lean.

‘At that time, Israel will no longer be great. It will be like a rich, fat person who becomes weak and hungry.

And in that day the glory of Jacob will be brought low, and the fat of his flesh will grow lean.

“In that day the splendor of Jacob will fade, and the fat of his body will waste away

“When that day comes, the honor of Jacob’s people will fade away, and they will become skin and bones.

And in that day the glorie of Iaakob shall be impouerished, and the fatnes of his flesh shalbe made leane.

The LORD said, “A day is coming when Israel's greatness will come to an end, and its wealth will be replaced by poverty.
