And thou saidst, I shall be mistress for ever; so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end thereof.


And you said, ‘I shall be a queen forevermore.’ You did not consider these things, Nor did you [seriously] remember the [ultimate] outcome of such conduct.


And you said, I shall be the mistress forever! So you did not lay these things to heart, nor did you [seriously] remember the certain, ultimate end of such conduct.


And you have said: "I will be a noblewoman forever." You have not set these things upon your heart, and you have not remembered your end.


You said, ‘I will be the queen forever.’ You did not take these things to heart or think about their outcome.


You said, “I’m forever; I’m the eternal mistress.” You didn’t stop and think; you didn’t consider the outcome.


You said, ‘I will be mistress forever.’ so you didn’t consider these things or think about the consequences.


You thought that you would be queen forever. You didn't care what you did; it never entered your mind that you might get caught.
