Job, 13:9

Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceiveth a man, will ye deceive him?

Will it be well for you when He investigates you [and your tactics against me]? Or will you deceive Him as one deceives a man?

Would it be profitable for you if He should investigate your tactics [with me]? Or as one deceives and mocks a man, do you deceive and mock Him?

Or, will it please him, from whom nothing can be concealed? Or, will he be deceived, like a man, by your deceitfulness?

Would it go well if he examined you? Could you deceive him as you would deceive a man?

Will it go well when he searches you, or can you fool him as you fool people?

If he examines you, will all go well? Can you deceive him, as one man deceives another?

If he took you to court, could you fool him, just as you fool others?

Will it be well if he should search you out? or as one mocketh at a man, will ye mock at him?

Or shall it please him, from whom nothing can be concealed? Or shall he be deceived as a man, with your deceitful dealings?

If God asks you questions, would he find that you speak the truth? Or would you try to deceive him, as you deceive other people?

Will you be found to be doing good when God examines you? Can you fool him as if he's a human being?

Will it go well when he cross-examines you? Will you try to trick him as one mortal tricks another?

Is it well that he shoulde seeke of you? will you make a lye for him, as one lyeth for a man?

If God looks at you closely, will he find anything good? Do you think you can fool God as you fool others?
