For if the trumpet give an uncertain voice, who shall prepare himself for war?


And if the [war] bugle produces an indistinct sound, who will prepare himself for battle?


And if the war bugle gives an uncertain (indistinct) call, who will prepare for battle?


For example, if the trumpet made an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for battle?


In fact, if the bugle makes an unclear sound, who will prepare for battle?

And think about soldiers. Their leader gets one man to blow a trumpet to tell the other soldiers what to do, but if he doesn’t blow it properly, they will not know what to do.
