Isaiah, 28:12

to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

He who said to them, “This is the place of quiet, give rest to the weary,” And, “This is the resting place,” yet they would not listen.

To these [complaining Jews the Lord] had said, This is the true rest [the way to true comfort and happiness] that you shall give to the weary, and, This is the [true] refreshing–yet they would not lis

He said to them: "This is my rest. Refresh the weary," and, "This is my refreshment." And yet they were unwilling to listen.

He had said to them, “This is the place of rest; let the weary rest; this is the place of repose.” But they would not listen.

He has said to them, “This is the place of rest; give rest to the weary; this is the place of repose”; but they refused to listen.

He once told this people, “It’s time to rest, the exhausted can rest, now you can relax” — but they wouldn’t listen.

He promised you perfect peace and rest, but you refused to listen.

To whom he said: This is my rest. Refresh the weary, and this is my refreshing. And they would not hear.

In the past, he said to them, ‘This is a place where you can rest when you are tired. It is a place where you can be safe.’ But his people refused to listen.
