And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in pride and in stoutness of heart


And all the people know it, That is, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria [its capital], Who say in pride and arrogance of heart

“The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with cut stone; the sycamore-fig trees have been chopped down, but we will replace them with cedars.”

Then everyone in Israel, even the leaders in Samaria, will know that God has sent it. Those people are proud and brag by saying
