And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Jehovah shall be witness between us; surely according to thy word so will we do.
The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “The LORD is the witness between us; be assured that we will do as you have said.”
And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, The Lord is witness between us, if we do not do as you have said.
They answered him, "The Lord who hears these things is himself the Mediator and the Witness that we shall do what we have promised."
The elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “The LORD is our witness if we don’t do as you say.”
Gilead’s elders replied to him, “The LORD is our witness; we will surely do what you’ve said.”
The leaders of Gil‘ad said to Yiftach, “ADONAI is witness that we promise to do what you have said.”
“You have our word,” the leaders answered. “And the LORD is a witness to what we have said.”
