But he said, As Jehovah liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.


But Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will accept nothing.” He urged him to take it, but Elisha refused.


Elisha said, As the Lord lives, before Whom I stand, I will accept none. He urged him to take it, but Elisha refused.


But he responded, "As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will not accept it." And though he urged him strongly, he did not agree at all.


But Elisha said, “As the LORD lives, in whose presence I stand, I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.


But Elisha said, “I swear by the life of the LORD I serve that I won’t accept anything.” Naaman urged Elisha to accept something, but he still refused.


But Elisha answered, “As ADONAI lives, before whom I stand, I will not accept it.” And despite his urging him to take it, he refused.


“I am a servant of the living LORD,” Elisha answered, “and I swear that I will not take anything from you.” Naaman kept begging, but Elisha kept refusing.

But Elisha replied, ‘I serve the LORD. I promise you, as surely as he lives, I will not accept a gift from you.’ Naaman asked him many times to accept a gift but Elisha refused.


But he said, “As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But hee sayde, As the Lord liueth (before whom I stand) I wil not receiue it. And he would haue constrained him to receiue it, but he refused.

The prophet answered, “I serve the LORD. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that I won’t accept a gift from you.” Even though Naaman begged him to take it, Elisha wouldn’t.

“As GOD lives,” Elisha replied, “the God whom I serve, I’ll take nothing from you.” Naaman tried his best to get him to take something, but he wouldn’t do it.
