Genesis, 15:3

And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.


And Abram continued, “Since You have given no child to me, one (a servant) born in my house is my heir.”


And Abram continued, Look, You have given me no child; and [a servant] born in my house is my heir.


And Abram added: "Yet to me you have not given offspring. And behold, my servant born in my house will be my heir."


Abram continued, “Look, you have given me no offspring, so a slave born in my house will be my heir.”


He continued, “Since you haven’t given me any children, the head of my household will be my heir.”


You haven’t given me a child,” Avram continued, “so someone born in my house will be my heir.”


You have not given me any children, and this servant of mine will inherit everything.”

And Abram said, Lo, to me thou hast given no seed, and behold, a son of my house will be mine heir.


And Abram added: But to me thou hast not given seed: and lo, my servant, born in my house, shall be my heir.


Because you have not given me any children, understand this: Everything that I have will one day belong to a servant in my house.’


And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.”


Abram continued, “Behold, You have given me no offspring, so a servant in my household will be my heir.”


Abram went on to complain, “Look! You haven't given me any children, so a servant from my household has to be my heir!”


You have given me no children, so this member of my household will be my heir.”


Againe Abram saide, Beholde, to me thou hast giuen no seede: wherefore loe, a seruant of mine house shalbe mine heire.


You have given me no children, and one of my slaves will inherit my property.”

Abram continued, “Look, You have given me no offspring, so a slave born in my house will be my heir.”

And Abram said, “Since You have given no offspring to me, one born in my house is my heir.”


Abram said, “Look, you have given me no son, so a slave born in my house will inherit everything I have.”


Abram added, “Since you have not given me a descendant, then look, one born in my house will be my heir!”


Abram continued, “You haven’t given me any children. So this servant of mine will get everything I own.”


And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”


And Abram said, ‘You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.’


Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”


You have given me no descendants of my own, so one of my servants will be my heir.”



And Abram said, “You have given me no offspring, and so a slave born in my house is to be my heir.”

But Abram said, “Yes, God, you are very powerful. But look, I’ve got no son, so it doesn’t matter what you give me. You haven’t given me the one thing I really want. You haven’t given me any kids. So


And Abram said, “Behold, thou hast given me no offspring; and a slave born in my house will be my heir.”


And Abram said, “Behold, thou hast given me no offspring; and a slave born in my house will be my heir.”
