Luke, 4:12

And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.


Jesus replied to him, “It is said [in Scripture], ‘YOU SHALL NOT TEMPT THE LORD YOUR GOD [to prove Himself to you].’ ”


And Jesus replied to him, [The Scripture] says, You shall not tempt (try, test exceedingly) the Lord your God. [Deut. 6:16.]


And in response, Jesus said to him, "It is said: 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.' "


And Jesus answered him, “It is said: Do not test the Lord your God. ”
