And though they say, As Jehovah liveth; surely they swear falsely.


And though they say, ‘As the LORD lives,’ Surely they swear [their oaths] falsely.”


And though they say, As the Lord lives, surely they swear falsely.


For even though they say, 'As the Lord lives,' in this, too, they swear falsely."


When they say, “As the LORD lives,” they are swearing falsely.


Even when making a pledge—“As the LORD lives”— they swear falsely.


And though they say, ‘As ADONAI lives,’ the fact is that they are swearing falsely.”
