And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.


Then He said to them, “Watch out and guard yourselves against every form of greed; for not even when one has an overflowing abundance does his life consist of nor is it derived from his possessions.”


And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man's life does not consist in and is not derived f


So he said to them: "Be cautious and wary of all avarice. For a person's life is not found in the abundance of the things that he possesses."


He then told them, “Watch out and be on guard against all greed, because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.”
